Sony TV has officially announced the return of its beloved quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, now entering its 17th season.
The channel unveiled the first promo earlier this week, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, who reprises his role as host. In a playful nod to his iconic character Vijay from ‘Agneepath’, Bachchan delivers the lines: “11 August se appointment hai apna, kya bolta hai? Appointment. English bolta hai.” The teaser evokes nostalgia with a tribute to one of his most memorable film roles, whose timeless dialogues—particularly the legendary Agneepath monologue—still resonate with fans.
Having first aired in 2000, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ has become a cornerstone of Indian television, combining knowledge, drama, and star power. The new season is set to premiere on Monday 11th August at 21:00 on Sony TV.
