Jr NTR has reportedly exited the upcoming biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke, which was set to mark the directorial debut of Karthik Rajamouli, son of acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli.
Media reports suggest the actor withdrew due to creative differences and a personal hesitation to portray historical figures on screen. While no official statement has been issued by either party, sources indicate the role no longer aligned with Jr NTR’s current artistic direction.
The film, based on the life of Dadasaheb Phalke, widely hailed as the father of Indian cinema, had attracted significant attention, largely due to its connection with the Rajamouli legacy. It was later confirmed that Karthik Rajamouli, not SS Rajamouli, would be directing the project.
