Following Kiara Advani’s departure, Vikrant Massey has become the latest actor to step away from ‘Don 3’.
Massey was originally slated to portray the central antagonist opposite Ranveer Singh in Farhan Akhtar’s hotly anticipated action thriller. His casting had stirred excitement, with expectations that he would inject a fresh dose of intensity into the franchise.
However, industry sources now reveal that Vikrant found the character lacking depth and has made the decisive move to walk out of the project. The role in question, a slick, smooth-talking conman, was said to require a major physical transformation and involve several high-octane combat sequences opposite Ranveer Singh.
Speculation is already mounting over possible replacements, with both Vijay Deverakonda and Aditya Roy Kapur being touted as contenders for the part.
Production on ‘Don 3’ is scheduled to commence in January 2026.
