Acclaimed filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has officially revealed that sequels to his iconic films ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ are in the works.
In a recent conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Chopra shared, “I am writing both 2 Idiots and Munna Bhai 3. Additionally, I am working on a film for children. While the title is yet to be finalised, I’m also developing a horror-comedy, which is turning out to be very interesting. Writing will take 1-2 years, but the possibility of 2 Idiots and Munna Bhai 3 happening soon is real.”
Reflecting on his career choices, Chopra added, “I could have easily made multiple sequels of Munna Bhai and 3 Idiots. Bahut maal kama leta main (I could have earned a lot of money), bought a big car and house. But if those weren’t quality films, I wouldn’t take pride in discussing them. Compromising my conscience for money has never been an option.”
