Karan Johar is set to produce a high-concept romantic action drama titled ‘Lag Jaa Gale’, featuring Tiger Shroff, Lakshya, and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. The film will be directed by Raj Mehta, known for his work on ‘Good Newwz’ and ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’.
The title, a nod to the iconic song from Manoj Kumar’s ‘Woh Kaun Thi’, was chosen after much deliberation. A source close to the project shared, “The team was contemplating several titles and felt that ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ was the most fitting. It’s a pure revenge actioner with a strong love story in the backdrop.”
The film is being designed as a large-scale theatrical experience, with plans to shoot some groundbreaking action sequences featuring Tiger Shroff. Currently in pre-production, ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ is expected to go on floors in early 2026.
