Ranveer Singh owes much of his early success to Yash Raj Films, having made a remarkable debut in 2010 with ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’. His eventual exit from the YRF talent management agency naturally stirred speculation about a possible fallout. However, the studio’s esteemed casting director, Shanoo Sharma, has now spoken out to dispel any such rumours.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Sharma clarified that Singh’s departure was neither bitter nor contentious. “I don’t think there’s any bad blood as such, but he needed to move,” she said, describing the decision as a pragmatic one for both the actor and the studio. “There’s a reason why he must be going. There’s a reason why the production house is okay with him going.”
She went on to reflect on the nature of professional relationships in the industry: “I feel things work, and then they fade, and then they start to work again and then they fade.” Reaffirming her personal connection with Singh, she added, “For me, he’s my best friend as well. So there’s nothing difficult on that front.”
