Ranveer Singh is set to headline a gritty new zombie thriller tentatively titled ‘Pralay’, directed by Jai Mehta, son of filmmaker Hansal Mehta. The film, currently in development, is said to be set in a post-apocalyptic world, marking a bold departure from Singh’s recent commercial fare.
Blending survival drama with horror, ‘Pralay’ promises a fresh take on the zombie genre within an Indian context. Sources suggest the narrative will explore themes of isolation, resilience, and human morality in a world ravaged by an undead outbreak.
This project also marks Jai Mehta’s most ambitious directorial venture to date, following his work on ‘Lootere’ and ‘Scam 2003’. Ranveer Singh, known for his transformative performances, is expected to undergo a rugged makeover for the role.
