The forthcoming film starring Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela, previously working under the tentative title ‘Aashiqui 3’, has now been officially renamed ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai’.
Originally conceived as the third instalment in the popular ‘Aashiqui’ franchise, the project underwent a significant shift following the separation of producers Mukesh Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar. Bhushan Kumar subsequently opted to develop the Aaryan–Anurag Basu collaboration as an independent venture, distinct from the franchise.
A source close to the production told Mid-Day, “The decision to rename the film was a strategic one, aimed at avoiding any direct association with Aashiqui. The team sought a title that would evoke a sense of nostalgia while steering clear of potential legal or creative entanglements. Tu Meri Zindagi Hai felt like the ideal choice.”
