After multiple postponements, John Abraham’s long-awaited geopolitical thriller ‘Tehran’, co-starring Manushi Chhillar, is now slated for a direct OTT release next month—reportedly timed to coincide with India’s Independence Day 2025.
Originally scheduled for release in 2023, the film faced several delays, but momentum is building once again. A source close to the project shared, “The team is considering an Independence Day release. A final decision will be taken in the coming days, after which an official announcement will follow.”
Running 90 minutes, ‘Tehran’ is said to have shaped up impressively, with insiders describing it as one of the flagship OTT releases of the year. The production team is reportedly delighted with the final cut, and anticipation is mounting among fans of action-packed, politically charged storytelling.
The film is directed by Arun Gopalan and jointly produced by Maddock Films and Bake My Cake Films.
