After the success of ‘Gadar 2’, director Anil Sharma is teaming up once again with Sunny Deol for a new action-packed drama titled ‘Coal King’. Set against the backdrop of India’s coal mafia, the film promises a gritty, high-stakes story with Deol in a powerful new role.
The project is currently in development, with filming expected to begin in 2026. Sharma aims to deliver a visually intense and emotionally charged narrative, continuing the successful partnership that fans have come to love.
While ‘Coal King’ is still in its early stages, it is one of three major projects Sharma is currently developing, alongside ‘Gadar 3’ and another period action film. A final decision on which project will go into production first is expected by the end of the year.
