Varun Dhawan on being rejected by Aditya Chopra for YRF project

Varun Dhawan has candidly shared that he faced rejection from Aditya Chopra for a project with Yash Raj Films due to budget constraints.

While promoting his upcoming Prime Video series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, Dhawan revealed that he approached the filmmaker to pitch himself for an action film. However, Chopra informed him that he only envisioned Dhawan for acting roles rather than action-packed ones.

Persisting with his request, Dhawan inquired further, prompting Chopra to explain that he couldn’t allocate the required budget for such a project at this stage in Dhawan’s career. The actor shared that Aditya even specified the significant financial investment needed to execute large-scale action films.
